Parents/Guardians,
As Spring competitions and activities begin, Hays HS would like to remind everybody of the attendance policy regarding absences on competition and practice days. The Handbook indicates that a student must have attended a half day of school in order to be eligible for participation. This means that a student must have attended the equivalent of two class periods(160 minutes) for that day. Any absence time that doesn’t allow the student to be present for at least the 2-period minimum will need get prior approval from the administration before being allowed to compete or practice that day.

Congrats to Hays Senior Jace Linenberger, the 2021-22 WAC conference Player of the Year!
