E-Cubed Collaboration Sessions

The last Knowledge Task on each FLEX directs you to complete a thinking routine and collaborate. Evidence shows us that people who talk to others about their learning are significantly more likely to put that learning into practice. To give you the opportunity to collaborate in person this summer, these E-Cubed Collaboration Sessions are scheduled at Rockwell. If you select a FLEX in a given element, you have the option to come collaborate in person during the scheduled time.

Graduate Credit

This summer you can earn graduate credit for $80 per credit hour through FHSU. There are opportunities for graduate credit both of completing FLEXs and for book studies. Click here to learn about what's required to for FLEXs and click here to learn about what's required for book studies.

Note: If you choose to do FLEXs or book studies for college credit, you cannot also apply for Application or Impact PDCs for that FLEX or book study. Please see the PDC Guidelines on the district website for additional clarification or information regarding earning PDCs.

Prizes and Drawings

EARN PRIZES as you complete FLEXs, participate in a book studies, and/ or complete Personal Wellness activities!

1 FLEX from any E-Cubed Element = Free Drink Coupon (+1 entry for grand prize drawings)

3 FLEXs from any of the E-Cubed Elements (mix & match) OR completion of a book study = $5 gift card (+3 entries for grand prize drawings)

5 FLEXs from any of the E-Cubed Elements (mix & match) = $10 Chamber Cheque(+5 entries for grand prize drawings)

1 FLEXs from each of the E-Cubed Elements (8 Total FLEXs, 1 from each of the E-Cubed Elements) + 1 Personal Wellness activity = $25 Chamber Cheque (+9 entries for grand prize drawings)

8 Personal Wellness activities (mix & match as desired) = Hays Nutrition coupon for half-off a drink (+8 entries for drawing)

 Drawings: 1 ticket per activity for grand prize drawings

Drawings will be held and prizes distributed the week of July 24.

Teacher Clarity Unit Creation Opportunities

If you would like to dig into Teacher Clarity this summer and want an opportunity to collaborate with/receive feedback from a district coach, the dates below are available from 9:00-11:00 am in the Master Teacher Room. This will be a come and go opportunity to work on planning a unit or to receive feedback on a unit you’ve prepared with Marie and/or Allison.

On-Site Option: Quiet Work Space at Rockwell

If you are looking for a quiet place to work on your summer learning away from home, the Master Teacher Room at Rockwell has been reserved on the following dates from 8:00 am – 3:30 pm.  This will just be a come and go opportunity with an available room. District coaches will not be present unless specifically requested.
